About working together
Hi, I'm Latrice, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) here in Texas. Over the past 10 years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside children, teens, and adults through some of life's hardest moments—whether that's been in schools, community programs, or one-on-one therapy. I've learned that everyone's struggle is unique, but the need to feel understood is universal.
I work primarily with teens and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and the weight of big life changes. My approach pulls from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and EMDR-informed techniques but really, it's about meeting you where you are and helping you make sense of what's going on inside. We'll explore your thought patterns, process what's been hard to carry, and build coping tools that actually fit your life.
Therapy with me is collaborative and built on trust. I believe you're the expert on your own experience. I'm just here to help you see it more clearly and move through it with more ease. My hope is that our work together feels less like a clinical appointment and more like a space where you can breathe, reflect, and grow.
Background & Training
I earned my Master's degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University and am currently completing my licensure hours under the supervision of Monalisa Bryant, LPC-S here in Texas. I've spent years working with kids and families in schools, private practice and community mental health, and I continue to invest in training around trauma care and EMDR because I believe good therapy requires staying curious and informed.
A little about me
Outside of session, I'm big on routines that ground me like morning prayer and journaling, evening skincare and a good book. I'm someone who believes in balance, intention, and giving yourself grace along the way.
I don't think healing requires you to have it all together. It just asks that you show up honestly, be patient with yourself, and let someone support you through it. My job isn't to fix you—it's to help you feel seen, remind you of your own strength, and give you practical tools to use when things get hard. You don't need all the answers to start. You just need to be ready for the next small step forward.
